2024 was an outstanding year and we are looking for a Lead Research Consultant with a strong research and consulting experience and genuine interest in all things emerging markets, innovation, and socio-economic development. The K&I Lead will work towards strengthening and consolidating Briterβs core pillars, including data and intelligence, editorial products, as well as ecosystem engagement across existing and new geographies. This is the perfect role for individuals who are knowledgeable about ecosystem dynamics and who are looking to fast-track their exposure to leading names and organisations in their target markets. Briter Bridges is looking for a strong Lead Research Consultant who will play a pivotal role in driving our research and data initiatives. This senior position requires someone who can generate research, communicate trends and information, understand market linkages and dynamics, and leverage strong data analysis and research skills to create valuable insights across various sectors, enabling our users to make informed investment decisions and drive innovation.
Core responsibilities
Data analysis and insights production:
Collaborate closely with the Data Team, Data Lead, and Research Associates to analyse and interpret complex datasets from diverse sectors, uncovering meaningful insights for platform users.
Utilise Briter Intelligence and external sources, and quantitative and qualitative methods, to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in emerging markets and technology sectors.
Generate strategic insights and actionable recommendations for innovators, researchers, investors, and foundations.
Research and report development:
Lead and conduct in-depth research projects on various topics, producing comprehensive reports that provide valuable market intelligence to our stakeholders.
Ensure that reports are well-researched, data-driven, and presented in a clear and compelling manner.
Content creation:
Develop engaging content for dedicated newsletters and social media platforms, highlighting significant developments and success stories in the technology and innovation landscape.
Curate existing data and reports to create compelling content that resonates with different stakeholders.
Work closely with the engagement team to market and share content that promotes our research and data services across sectors.
Ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the company's mission.
Editorial oversight
Manage the editorial process, including content planning, editing, and proofreading, to ensure content quality and consistency.
Collaborate with data and engagement team to design and create engaging visuals, infographics, and presentations.
Cross-team collaboration:
Work closely with the Strategy and Growth team to understand the needs of various clients and users, ensuring insights align with requirements.
Collaborate with teams across the firm to integrate insights into the overall strategic vision of the company.
Qualifications and capabilities
Proven experience in a similar role within the research, data, or business intelligence domain.
Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualisation platforms.
Excellent research and report writing abilities, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Bachelor's, Master's degree, or PhD in a relevant field such as economics, business, or a technology-related discipline.
Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to shape different narratives and content to different audiences.
Demonstrated experience in creating engaging content for diverse audiences across various platforms.
Project management skills with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Familiarity with emerging markets and technology trends is advantageous.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Plus
Specialised industry knowledge (e.g. fintech, agriculture, renewables commerce, technology, impact, etc.);
Knowledge of tools such as Typeform (surveys), Monday.com; Airtable; Figma; Squarespace; Hubspot;
Visual and Adobe products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); Figma;
Personal projects, newsletters, or blogs;
Knowledge of a second language spoken in key countries. French, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese.
